Our Story

Established in 1970, Edwards of Sale began in a modest showroom behind the town hall in Sale, Cheshire. Initially, our focus was on providing high-quality heating appliances, cookers, and stoves, earning us a loyal customer base and a strong reputation for exceptional service. For a brief period, we operated under the name Edwards & Sons, reflecting our family-run roots and commitment to craftsmanship.

Over the course of more than two decades, we honed our expertise and built a legacy of outstanding customer care within those original four walls. While we enjoyed supplying white goods, it became clear that our true passion lay in designing, supplying, and installing fires and fireplaces. This focus allowed us to specialise and excel, establishing Edwards of Sale as a leading supplier in the whole of Cheshire.

By 1992, our growth and ambition outgrew our original premises, prompting a move to a larger, more accessible showroom near the Pelican pub on the other side of Sale. This new location offered greater visibility, easy access from the main road, and free parking for our customers. Since the move, we have invested significantly in our showroom to ensure it showcases a diverse and contemporary range of fires and fireplaces. Spanning two floors, our displays feature the latest designs, from timeless classics to modern innovations, catering to every taste and home.

To this day, Edwards of Sale remains a proudly family-run business, guided by the same values and work ethic that defined our beginnings over 50 years ago. With more than 45,000 fires and fireplaces supplied and fitted, our experience speaks for itself. Our commitment to quality, personalised service, and attention to detail has earned us a loyal customer base, with the majority of our business driven by recommendations and repeat clients.
